초록

Differentiating types of neurons plays a crucial role in deeply understanding the structure and function of the nervous system, treating neurological diseases, and gaining insights into human cognitive processes. This study aims to provide optimal methods for analyzing morphological changes in neurons in real-time, identifying live/dead cell status, and comparing features of mature neurons. The high-content screening (HCS) imaging system enables real-time analysis of images within live cells. Equipped with objective lenses ranging from 4x to 60x magnification, the system can simultaneously load and capture up to 96 samples. Based on calculations, the system offers modules with capabilities divided into confocal mode, spinning mode, and wide-field mode, with variations in resolution and brightness depending on the module. The Brain Research Core Facilities in KBRI supports various high-dimensional imaging analyses, including neuron formation structure and microstructure analysis. The ultimate goal is to optimize morphological imaging analysis modules, contributing to the mechanism analysis and elucidation of correlations in various brain disease models.
